Chief Accountant

• Ensuring that daily accounting operations are processed in accordance with the Spanish legislation IFRS and best practices
• Full responsibility for payroll area from preparation to payment ensuring compliance with Spanish legislation.
• Daily management of accounting e.g. provide control and necessary guidance to ensure that work is done accurately and according to highest quality standards
• Cash flow management: monthly cash flow forecast for group Financial Manager ensure that company has sufficient resources to pay its invoices in the due time
• Preparation of VAT report & submitting to tax authorities; ensuring that tax is calculated and accounted for in compliance with the Spanish tax legislation
• Preparing of statistics reports for the Bank
• Control and approve payments (payroll invoices taxes and other)
• Follow up that tax payments and payments to suppliers are done within stipulated deadlines
• Ensuring that Evolution Groups financial procedures are followed and complied with
• Monthly closing procedures: ensuring the month is closed properly necessary calculations of depreciation and accruals are in place.
• Ensuring that transactions entered during the month were done properly and accurately by selecting correct accounts correct periods and correct accounting principles
• Issue monthly invoices for services (management fees and similar)
• Reconciliation of monthly group balances
• Ensuring that taxes are calculated and accounted for in compliance with the Spanish tax legislation
• Cooperation with bank requesting documents for changes in users opening/closing company cards
• Cooperation with tax authorities consulting managing disputes other communication
• Partner with accounting systems providers and support regarding existing problems possible improvements
• Follow to changes in legislation necessary software updates
• Preparation of statutory audits preparation of annual reports Spanish tax calculations preparation of the information required by auditors answering to auditors questions assistance to ensure that statutory audits are finalized within stipulated deadlines
• Follow up VAT position (balance). Prepare and submit necessary documentation for VAT reclaim.

Qualifications :

• Professional accounting education
• Proven experience working as a Senior Accountant/managerial role in an international environment
• High knowledge of English
• Good computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of tax & labor legislation
• High sense of responsibility
• Ability to manage people
• The ability to accurately fulfil the direct management orders and work tasks
