Staff backend engineer (python / django)

We launched our new product in 2024 and already have 150k+ accounts on which we’ve processed more than 300 million euros.We're now looking for an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to lead our backend efforts — someone ambitious to grow, who codes daily, and owns complex technical challenges with autonomy. What You’ll DoBe 100% hands-on : Build, maintain and scale backend systems in Python / Django.Design architecture : Own backend architecture decisions, collaborating closely with our infra and security teams.Manage infrastructure : Work comfortably with AWS, especially RDS, ECS, and Kafka / MSK.Own your scope : Take full responsibility for projects — from design to deployment — with autonomy and accountability. Our StackLanguages & Frameworks : Python, Django, DRFInfra & Tools : AWS, Docker, Kafka, Postgre SQL, Redis, Mongo DBArchitecture : Microservices + event-driven systems What We’re Looking ForYou’ve been a go-to backend expert for 8+ years, leading projects, owning architecture, and shipping codeYou’ve worked in fast-growing start-up or scale-up environmentsProven experience at Staff / Principal / Lead level (or Senior in a larger organization)Deep expertise in Python and Django — you’ve built and shipped impactful productsComfortable with AWS and containerized infrastructureOwnership mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills in EnglishBonus : Experience or interest in AI development platforms like Cursor.
