Senior Backend Engineer Python

Overview We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with solid experience in building and maintaining distributed, event-driven, and high-performance architectures. This position is ideal for professionals experienced in Kafka-based data pipelines who wish to be part of a continuously innovative environment and scale critical solutions within an international organization.

Project Context The role is embedded in a multidisciplinary technical team responsible for designing and implementing robust, secure, and scalable backend solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka.

Implement complex business logic in Python with high performance and scalability.

Manage and integrate non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) and relational (PostgreSQL, MariaDB) databases.

Optimize system efficiency, availability, and fault tolerance.

Identify and resolve incidents in production environments.

Actively collaborate with development, product, and operations teams.

Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Over 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.

Proven development experience with Python.

Proficiency in designing and maintaining Kafka-based pipelines.

Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases.

Familiarity with non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, etc.).

Experience in cloud environments, especially AWS.

High level of English proficiency (B2+ or higher), both spoken and written.

Strong skills in analysis, debugging, and problem-solving.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes).

Experience with Agile methodologies.
