Senior Manager, Social Sustainability and Reporting

Location : Madrid, ES, 28020

ContourGlobal is an established Independent Power Producer developing, acquiring, and operating electricity generation assets worldwide. The company manages over 6.2 GW of capacity across various technologies in 18 countries, with a focus on increasing renewable capacity and decarbonization efforts.

Responsibilities :

• Align Social Sustainability objectives with corporate goals through cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide expertise on Social Sustainability issues across project development, construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Serve as a Social Sustainability subject matter expert, focusing on community engagement, stakeholder relations, social investment, grievance mechanisms, cultural resources, DEI, human rights, and sustainability disclosures, emphasizing Just Transition principles.
• Develop and deliver Social Sustainability training and capacity-building initiatives.
• Establish global Social Sustainability metrics, targets, and governance, including incident reporting guidance.
• Monitor trends, regulatory changes, and impacts related to Social Sustainability.
• Manage assurance processes for sustainability metrics and disclosures.
• Create accurate and transparent sustainability disclosures compliant with relevant frameworks (e.g., CSRD, IFRS, SASB, GRI, TCFD, IFC PS).
• Support risk assessments for growth opportunities, including M&A and business development.
• Enhance Social Performance models and data collection processes.
• Assist in developing a 3-year Social Investment Road Map and tracking mechanisms.
• Support sustainable financing initiatives.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including ratings agencies and NGOs.
• Represent ContourGlobal’s Social Sustainability interests at industry associations, conferences, and with external partners.
• Contribute to operational transitions related to decarbonization, including shared value creation, Just Transition, and decommissioning.
• Build collaborative relationships internally and externally to improve Social Sustainability performance.
• Assist in strategic initiatives, incentive identification, and project support.
• Oversee RFP scoping, consultant management, and budgeting.

Preferred locations include Madrid, with consideration for Houston, Sofia, Vienna, or Milan.
