Software & Mission Control Senior Engineer | Space Ground Segment

📍 Location : Madrid / Toulouse (main office in Arganda del Rey)

🕹️ Modality : Hybrid (60% on-site)

✈️ Frequent travel : 2–3 short trips per month (1 to 4 days) across European countries

🚀 Are you ready to take on a key role in the design and operation of space mission control systems?

At Exceltic , we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Mission Control Systems (MCS) to support the definition, development, and integration of complex mission operations infrastructure for next-generation space programs.

🛠️ Main Responsibilities

• Analyze and perform trade-offs on Ground Segment requirements , with flow-down to Mission Control Systems (MCS) and Supervision systems .
• Define Mission & Control requirements for both space infrastructure and service layers .
• Design the high-level software architecture for :
• ▪ Space mission operations and control
• ▪ Supervision, telemetry, and reporting systems
• Define implementation and testing strategies for MCS-related software subsystems.
• Provide technical oversight to subcontractors regarding :
• ▪ Architecture and design reviews
• ▪ Requirements compliance
• ▪ Development and validation processes
• Support the integration of subcontracted components into the full Ground Segment system.
• During operations, act as the technical point of contact for anomaly resolution and mission-critical troubleshooting.
