Back End Developer

As LGT implements its digital vision, LGT Digital Factory (DiF) acts as a strategic nearshore partner to implement state-of-the-art client and employee IT front ends. To fulfill this mission, we work closely with LGT’s business and IT units, as well as third-party vendors.

You can expect state-of-the-art development tools and best-in-class DevOps processes.

Together with a young, highly motivated team, you will develop and maintain promising back-ends for our Digital Products.

Responsibilities Your Challenge

As a Medium to Senior Back-end Developer, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end systems that power our wealth management solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers, to deliver scalable and secure applications that meet the needs of our clients.

You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining efficient interfaces between our front-end applications and Avaloq-based back-end systems. This includes designing scalable APIs, optimizing data flows, and ensuring that clients and advisors experience seamless, real-time access to banking tools and information.

Qualifications Programming Languages : Proficiency in Java 11+ with SpringBoot

Database Expertise : Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB / Redis).

API Development : Strong experience with RESTful API design; knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.

Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Experience with data migration tools like Flyway or Liquibase

Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

DevOps Practices : Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Testing & Debugging : Proficiency in writing unit tests and debugging complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

3–7 years of experience as a back-end developer (medium to senior level).

Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.

Knowledge of financial services or wealth management is a big plus, but not mandatory.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

English Business fluent

Soft Skills Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
