Security Engineer (Defensive)

Overview Security Engineer (Defensive) role at Huxley . We are partnering with a client to find a talented Security Engineer to be part of a defensive security team responsible for the accountability of the Incident Response, defensive tools integration and improvement, and the escalation of SOC incidents.

Responsibilities Automation : Design and implement automation processes to streamline operations and reduce manual effort across systems and workflows.

Tool Integration : Integrate internal and third‑party tools to enhance system interoperability and improve overall efficiency.

Service Improvement : Continuously assess and optimize service delivery, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing best practices.

Incident Response Support : Collaborate with the incident response team to advise on mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution of security incidents.

Incident Tracking : Monitor, document, and follow up on incidents to ensure proper handling and closure, maintaining accurate records for analysis and reporting.

Escalation Management : Act as a liaison with the CISO team for escalations related to the SOC, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly and appropriately.

Technical requirements and experience 3-5 years of average experience in Security Engineering.

Experience writing automation scripts in security field.

Experience and familiarity with defensive tools : EDR, DLP, CM, Intrusion Detection, Endpoint, Email Security, and / or Cyber Threat Intelligence.

Communication skills, analytical abilities.

Location Barcelona, Spain. 1-2 days of on-site work.
