Overview Project Leads are an integral part of clinical trial delivery, liaising with clinical teams to improve patients' lives by bringing new drugs to the market faster. The Project Lead is an essential member of the core project team responsible for project delivery of clinical studies to meet contractual requirements in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices. Clinical Project Management focuses on project delivery, productivity and quality to achieve strong financial performance and customer satisfaction. Clinical Project Leads can run their own studies. The Project Lead focuses on leveraging therapeutic expertise and IQVIA's suite of solutions to drive operational excellence and strategic leadership with customers.

Responsibilities Participate in bid defense presentations in partnership with Business Development and may lead the presentation for smaller, less complex regional studies.

Deliver and manage smaller, less complex regional studies as assigned.

Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.

Execute clinical studies (or assigned portions) per contract while optimizing speed, quality and cost, ensuring consistent use of study tools and training materials and compliance with standard processes, policies and procedures.

Set objectives for the core project team and / or sub-teams, communicate expectations, and assess performance.

Collaborate with other functional groups to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.

Monitor progress against contract and proactively present project / sub-team information to stakeholders internally and externally.

Manage risk and contingencies, lead problem solving and resolution efforts.

Ensure project quality by identifying quality risks and issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

May serve as primary or backup project contact with the customer and manage the client relationship, communicating with IQVIA business development as necessary.

Build and lead the cross-functional project team to deliver on milestones and manage study issues and obstacles; ensure overall project delivery.

Ensure the financial success of the project and forecast opportunities to accelerate activity and revenue.

Identify changes in scope and manage change control processes as necessary.

Capture lessons learned and implement best practices.

May lead vendor management and related activities per project requirements.

Adopt corporate initiatives and serve as a change advocate when necessary.

Provide input to line managers on team member performance and support staff development and mentoring on assigned projects.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field (required).

7+ years of clinical research experience, including approximately 5 years of project management experience in a global, client-facing environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English; strong presentation skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work through others to deliver results with appropriate quality and timeline metrics; experience partnering cross-functionally and with customers to advance work efficiently.

Ability to make decisions and bring clarity to disparate information to inform actions and drive results.
