Director Machine Learning Engineering

Overview Senior Lead Machine Learning Engineer for the Data Science and Machine Learning team. You will design and implement scalable and robust machine learning systems using Python, AWS and Databricks. You should have experience in natural language processing, deep learning, classification algorithms or recommender systems. You will mentor other team members and help them grow.

No two days are the same. Everyday projects range from deep learning, research & development, algorithm development, natural language processing to ML infrastructure and deployment.

Responsibilities Collaborate and Build : Work with engineering and product teams in an Agile environment to identify, design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning solutions. Contribute to the ML architecture, infrastructure, data pipelines, and APIs.

Research & Development : Design and implement state-of-the-art data products, machine learning models, and systems to optimize the user experience. Apply new techniques to drive innovation.

Deliver at an Epic Scale : Write clean code and documentation, define best practices, and produce highly adaptive, high-performing, continuously learning AI models and systems.

Teamwork & Mentorship : Mentor teammates, foster independent and creative thinking while collaborating as a team.

Requirements Education : Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field.

Experience : 8-12 years in relevant skills in the same or similar role.

Communication : Advanced English language skills.

Technical skills : Proficiency in Python with data science packages (pandas, sklearn, etc.), strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, familiarity with natural language processing, and experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Step, SageMaker) and CI / CD tools like Jenkins.

NICE TO HAVE : Master’s degree, knowledge of generative and embedding models, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch), experience with NoSQL / Vector databases, exposure to Databricks, MLflow, Jupyter notebooks, understanding of data products (recommender systems, classifiers, chatbots).
