What You'll Do

As an R&D Portfolio Financial Manager, you'll play a key role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of our R&D project portfolio. You'll work closely with Finance, Project Managers, and Clinical Operations to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting of external project costs. This role suits someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Your main responsibilities will include :

Financial Analysis & Reporting

Forecast and track external R&D project costs to help manage the annual budget

Analyze monthly financial forecasts and identify key variances

Identify project investment priorities for strategic planning and future budget decisions

Support cost accruals, reconciliations, and financial audits

Prepare clear and insightful financial reports

Business Partnership

Collaborate with project teams to provide financial insights

Support investment decisions and scenario planning

Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Process Improvement

Help improve portfolio management standards and processes

Contribute to tool enhancements and simplification

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships across departments

Communicate financial insights to leadership and project teams

What You Bring

We\'re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about making an impact. Ideally, you have :

A bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience

8+ years in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

5+ years in R&D financial forecasting and analysis

Strong Excel skills and experience with Planisware or similar tools

Solid understanding of drug development

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
