Overview
We are looking for an exceptional analyst who will support the cluster Finance Directors (FDs) in the end-to-end process surrounding client incentive budgeting, forecasting and actuals analysis for our Southern Europe (SE) cluster clients. Covering eight countries and some of the largest clients in Europe, you will act as the single point of reference for client incentive accounting, insights and decision support providing first-class analytical support to the cluster FDs, helping them understand the P&L drivers, key performance client metrics. The role will report to the Spain & Portugal FD and client incentive expert for SE cluster.

Key Responsibilities
Client Incentive Analysis
Own monthly / quarterly client incentive accruals : validate supporting data and booking packages, ensure compliance with accounting policies (IFRS / US GAAP), and post journal entries in cooperation with Controllership.Perform variance analysis—budget vs. actual—explaining drivers and recommending corrective actions to FDs and commercial leaders.Incentives template management – tracking accrual variance, making sure accruals are in line with incentives planning, comparing accruals and forecast and making sure variances have a rationale behind and not an error, highlighting abnormalities.Develop and maintain incentive tracking files, dashboards and KPIs and automate wherever possible (Power Query, Power BI, VBA).Business Performance & P&L Analytics
Provide ad-hoc and regular analyses on revenue, margin, mix, pricing, volume, and other key levers impacting the client P&L.Build financial models that link commercial inputs (volume, discounts, rebates) with accounting outputs (revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, incentives).Continuous Improvement & Governance
Standardise and document processes, ensuring scalability and one source of truth for client incentive data.Partner with IT / BI teams to enhance data integrity and system capabilities.Champion a culture of analytical excellence and data-driven decision making across the SE cluster.Ocerts controls making sure there are no missing reported volumes and revenues.Ad-hoc analysis requests from third parties, and internal stakeholders.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will likely have :
2+ years of relevant experience.Excellent relationship management skills (including senior stakeholders within Visa).Experience in payments and or financial services related projects will be advantageous.Outstanding presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to comprehend and convey complex business information.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.Superior detail orientation, ensuring the highest level of quality / rigor in reports and data analysis.Effective team orientation, collaborative, flexible, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization and enjoys learning through new challenges.Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to yield insights and a proven ability to build models in Microsoft Excel to support business cases.Advanced Excel & modelling skills (nested formulas, pivot tables, Power Query / Power Pivot and VBA is a plus).Strong undergraduate academic accomplishment.Additional Information
