Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to support a large‑scale industrial construction project in Huelva. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities, from strategy development and sourcing to contract administration and close‑out. This role requires close coordination with project management, construction disciplines, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance, cost control, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop subcontracting strategy in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Source, audit, and qualify construction subcontractors
• Coordinate with HSE, QA / QC, Scheduling, and Engineering to compile inquiry documentation
• Manage technical clarifications and updates during the bidding process
• Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors on contractual matters
• Lead weekly meetings with site teams and subcontractors; manage minutes and follow‑ups
• Track progress against BoQs and subcontractor reports; validate and record work completed
• Review and approve extra works, quantity variations, and claims
• Prepare and issue Change Orders and monthly cost forecasts
• Oversee monthly payment acceptance and ensure alignment with contractual scope
• Maintain contractual communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Support project team with contractual awareness and risk mitigation strategies
• Facilitate coordination with non‑project disciplines (Finance, HR, Treasury)
• Assist in final contract close‑out and documentation
