FPCM : Data Analyst Genomics Unit

This hiring is subject to authorization from the Community of Madrid’s Department of Economy, Finance, and Employment.

FUNCTIONS

As a Genomics Data Analyst, the selected person will primarily carry out the following activities :

• Maintenance, optimization, management, and development of data analysis tools available in the Genomics Unit – FPCM, and incorporation of new tools or functionalities.
• Processing of NGS data, demultiplexing of runs, quality control of sequences, and sample processing, such as adapter trimming.
• Provision of omic data analysis services for users of the Genomics Unit – FPCM : genomics and metagenomics, transcriptomics and metatranscriptomics data, single-cell analysis , high-throughput genotyping / gene expression, statistical analyses, panel analyses, and variant filtering, etc.
• IT and bioinformatics support for the Genomics Unit FPCM : management of equipment and servers, management of data storage systems, repositories, etc.
• Collaboration in training and outreach processes related to the activities of the Genomics Unit and the general activity of the FPCM.

Candidates who obtain the highest score will be interviewed, provided they reach a total of 60 points in the sum of the assessable criteria (C1-C4). The candidate with the highest score will be hired, provided they reach 75 points (C1-C5).
