Validation and Certification Engineer

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Control and HIL Engineer to join our Product Innovation & Development team at Hitachi Energy. You will play a key role in validating and certifying power converters and control systems for energy storage and renewable energy applications. How You’ll Make An Impact

• Execute commissioning and validation tests for power conversion and control systems, including interfacing with energy storage systems.
• Conduct technical analysis of logs, signals, errors, and system performance; produce clear and reusable reports.
• Simulate and debug control algorithms; assess compliance with grid codes and system stability under electrical transients.
• Manage full traceability of tests, from requirement specification to final reporting.
• Participate in defining validation strategies, test procedures, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and implement test automation and support proof-of-concept and certification activities.
