Associate Solution Engineer

Overview

Associate Solution Engineer (Summer 2026 start). The role is part of the Solution Engineering team and involves becoming an expert on the Appian platform, gaining full-stack experience, and tackling challenging technical problems while addressing customers’ concerns. This position supports cross-functional collaboration and personal and professional growth within Appian’s technology-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Excel at problem solving and develop creative solutions to complex technical concerns for customers.
• Provide exceptional, world-class verbal and written support to customers and top stakeholders globally.
• Address technical challenges and communicate your work across multiple departments.
• Maintain a strong interest in software development, balanced with not focusing solely on coding.
• Collaborate with customers to drive continual improvements in availability, performance, functionality, and security of the Appian platform.
• Engage in data analytics and demonstrate interest or experience in programming / scripting languages (e.g., Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP).
• Develop familiarity with RDBMS platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and with systems administration (e.g., Linux, Windows).
• Communicate effectively in fluent English and Spanish (reading and writing).
