About The Role As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Health & Safety Lead, and SLT Policy & Project Support at Hastings School, you will ensure a safe, well-governed, and progressive environment. Responsibilities include overseeing safeguarding and child protection procedures, leading health and safety initiatives, ensuring policy compliance, staff training, supporting audits, maintaining policies, managing projects with SLT, HR, and regional teams, and collaborating on alumni and school events. Approximately 30% of your time will involve teaching or administrative duties.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

Who we are looking for An experienced education professional with a strong understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and school operations. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable working across teams. You possess excellent communication skills, some knowledge of Spanish, and thrive under pressure, adapting quickly to multiple priorities. You are passionate about student wellbeing, staff development, and school improvement.
