The role

In this role, you will be a key technical leader, translating product vision into tangible, industry-leading web experiences. You will liaise with stakeholders from Product, Design, and QA to help plan and prioritise the technical development and maintenance of our user-facing applications. You will work closely with your dedicated development team to discover, develop, and deliver new features and solve complex technical challenges, always ensuring our sites are in tip-top condition.

What you will be doing

• Take ownership of the frontend development lifecycle, from technical planning to implementation and maintenance, using modern frameworks like Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Align stakeholder needs from design and product with technical solutions, transforming UI / UX concepts into high-quality, responsive, and accessible code.
• Communicate technical progress, possibilities, and limitations to affected stakeholders.
• Work in partnership with backend developers to seamlessly integrate frontend applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring robust data flows.
• Take ongoing ownership of application performance, SEO, and responsiveness, directly impacting user-facing KPIs.
• Support best practices and processes by mentoring developers, leading code reviews, and improving our technical standards.
• Create efficient communication channels, building bridges between technical and non-technical teams to align on priorities and execution.
• Prioritise technical tasks and architectural improvements to drive efficiency, stability, and innovation.
