Senior Frontend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our diverse and global team at Allianz Technology, the internal IT provider for the Allianz Group. You will work with English-speaking developers to implement and maintain frontend libraries and workflow applications for multiple countries. The ideal candidate is proficient in Angular and TypeScript, has a passion for continuous learning, and possesses excellent English communication skills as well as a team player's attitude.

What you do

  • Extend and maintain a component library used by numerous applications within the Allianz ecosystem, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest Angular features, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
  • Utilize Schematics and GitHub Actions to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
  • Support global development teams during onboarding and provide third-level assistance in resolving technical issues and coordinating with business stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, demos, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery and adherence to standards.
  • Document technical decisions, specifications, procedures, and guidelines for clarity and future reference.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align business requirements with timely code development, ensuring mutual success.

What you bring

  • Proven experience as an Angular / TypeScript Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of Angular concepts, including components, services, routing, and dependency injection.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 4+ years specifically in Angular 2+, ECMAScript 6+, and NodeJS.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Jasmine and Karma, and end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience with cloud development, GitHub (Monorepo), and proficiency in CI / CD pipelines, Clean Code, DevOps, FE Security, and UX / UI principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI in the frontend SDLC, with awareness of AI advancements, vendor / tool evaluation, and maintaining strong privacy, security, and accessibility practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+), along with problem-solving, analytical skills, and a collaborative attitude open to feedback and continuous improvement.
