www.primedatacenters.com Location : Onsite - Madrid Summary We are seeking a Senior Accountant with expertise in construction and project-based accounting to support Prime Data Centers’ growing portfolio in Spain and across Europe.

This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate project and corporate financial records, preparing reports, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Spanish GAAP (PGC).

The Senior Accountant will work closely with project managers, procurement, and finance leadership to ensure financial visibility into large-scale data center construction projects.

Advanced experience with NetSuite ERP is critical to this role, as the position will support both the regional accounting function and the global ERP integration.

Responsibilities Maintain project-based accounting records, including job cost tracking, WIP schedules, billing, and contract compliance for construction projects.

Process invoices, payments, and AR / billing with tenants.

Collaborate with project managers and regional leaders to monitor budgets, commitments, and forecasts.

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under IFRS and Spanish GAAP.

Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss, and project performance reports.

Compile and analyze financial variances, including construction project performance metrics.

Support tax and reporting compliance in Spain, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.

Assist with external and internal audits, preparing required documentation.

Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize processes and integrate NetSuite ERP into regional accounting operations.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.

5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction, real estate development, or project-based accounting.

Solid knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS.

Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (advanced user or implementation support experience preferred).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling).

Experience with job cost accounting, billing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition in a project environment.

Strong knowledge of Spanish tax compliance (VAT, corporate income tax).

Professional-level Spanish and English communication skills, written and spoken.

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
