Job Overview
As a Sales Engineer at Accedo, you will be a key player in assisting our Sales team to devise and present compelling technical and commercial proposals. You will act as the crucial technical bridge between our customers and our internal teams, leveraging Accedo's innovative, market‐leading OTT video solutions to solve complex challenges for the world's leading media companies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated technical support to the Sales team throughout the pre‐sales cycle
Engage with customers and prospects to deeply understand their strategic business needs, technology platforms, system architecture, and technical requirements
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Delivery, Design, Operations and other internal teams to assess bid feasibility and design appropriate solution proposals with accurate delivery estimates
Engage with partner teams to understand the best possible solution enhancements to fit customer business needs
Become an expert on all aspects of Accedo's products and services, with a special focus on our AI‐powered features, and be able to articulate their value proposition on a technical level
Create and present, in‐person and remotely, detailed, on‐brand solution proposals, pitch decks, and compelling demonstrations and presentations for the Sales team
Utilise generative AI and other modern tools to streamline the creation of proposals, documentation, and presentations, improving efficiency and response time
Iterate on requirements, solutions, and estimations with all stakeholders through clear and transparent communication
Take accountability for the technical validity of proposed solutions, ensuring they meet the customer's needs and are deliverable by our project team
Own and manage the pre‐sales process for your projects within our internal JIRA instance, ensuring each phase is documented
Act as a vital interface between the Sales, Product, and Delivery organizations to ensure alignment and rapid issue resolution during the pre‐sales process
Proactively evaluate new industry initiatives, technologies, platforms, and competitors, particularly in the realm of AI in media
Contribute new ideas and best practices to the Sales Engineering team and the wider Sales organization
Your Skills and Personal Qualities
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken, are mandatory
Written and spoken Spanish would be a major advantage, though not essential
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to pitch and deliver compelling demos to diverse audiences, from engineers to C‐level executives
A strong interest in and aptitude for leveraging new technologies, particularly generative AI tools, to enhance productivity and problem‐solving
An innate curiosity for the media industry, new video technologies, and the ongoing transformation of the TV experience
A strong sense of self‐motivation, responsibility, autonomy and project ownership
Excellent organisational and numeracy skills, with a proven ability to prioritise tasks across multiple concurrent projects
You thrive in a global, multinational, and multicultural environment.
Requirements
A minimum of 3‐4 years of professional experience in a customer‐facing, senior technical pre‐sales role within a B2B environment
Demonstrable experience presenting technical products and services to both internal and external audiences
Experience understanding and evaluating enterprise‐level client architecture and third‐party solutions
Experience with selling Managed Services would be a major advantage
Experience working in a similar role within the Online Video, OTT, or a related media technology industry would be a significant advantage
Familiarity with or experience in selling solutions that incorporate AI / ML features is highly advantageous, for example Agentic AI
Experience working with front‐end and middleware applications, especially within the video industry, would be a significant advantage.
A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or relevant software development skills, are beneficial but not essential
