VP – M&A Consumer & Retail Investment Banking (Latin America Coverage) role at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking.

SCIB is looking for a Vice President to join our Global Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team, based in Madrid, with a dedicated focus on clients and transactions across Latin America. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the origination and execution of strategic M&A, equity capital markets and leveraged finance transactions in Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Take direct responsibility for the coordination and execution of transactions, engaging with senior team members and client C-Level to explore strategic alternatives, originate new mandates, and manage live deal processes.
• Build and oversee detailed financial models to assess the impact of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and capital raises on earnings, cash flows, credit metrics, and ownership structures.
• Perform and guide company valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and comparable company analysis;

prepare high-quality presentations.
