Key Responsibilities You will work closely with project leaders, engineering, and construction teams to identify cost or schedule reduction alternatives. Your tasks will include :
Benchmarking design against historical performance, industry norms, and client standard designs to propose alternative designs that meet customer requirements.
Facilitating value workshops and identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
Managing communications and workshops with clients as required.
Developing multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for capital projects.
Breaking down silos, improving communication, and enabling team collaboration.
Providing recommendations for corporate specifications and standards.
Translating project scope and proposed alternatives into estimated capital expenditure costs.
Identifying areas of uncertainty and applying appropriate allowances.
Collecting and normalizing actual and alternative cost performance data.
The ideal candidate will have advanced industry expertise, 10-15 years of experience, and familiarity with construction practices, materials, and equipment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
