Global Senior Manager Digital Finance

Overview Global Senior Manager Digital Finance position in Barcelona, Spain. This permanent role drives the digital transformation of the Business Planning & Analysis (BPA, inanceP&A) function into data- and AI / ML-driven advanced analytics and value creation. The GSMDF shapes the future finance / BPA organization and how we support the business using AI, ML & digital, including project management, process and organizational design, and coordinating with other digital initiatives across the company.

This role partners with data scientists, software and data engineers, and visualization experts to build digital business solutions, without needing to be a technology expert.

About the Role Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Co-develops vision and prioritizes new AI / decision-making tools aligned with BPA / Finance functions across business units

Owns selected AI / ML products and leads their design, development and implementation by coordinating resources across data science and visualization teams; ensures rollout, adoption and ongoing operations

Connects new solutions with operational processes and leverages operations acumen to implement within the Novartis environment

Identifies inefficiencies in AI / ML / digital applications and drives improvements toward a scalable, industrialized approach

Liaises with other digital / AI initiatives (e.g., commercial, supply chain, pricing and market access, treasury, investor relations) to identify overlaps and co-create a holistic digitalization roadmap

Co-shapes the future organization of BPA / Finance to enable systemic evolution

Collaborates with broader Digital Finance and Data & IT teams to define data requirements for next-generation AI tools

Proactively identifies industry benchmarks that trigger change initiatives; proposes innovative approaches and leads their realization from presentation to delivery

Offers fresh perspectives from different industries to develop new ways of working in digital transformation

Leads select new initiatives / MVPs with cross-functional partners to prove business value and scale globally

What you’ll bring to the role Essential criteria :

University degree in Finance, Economics (or similar); MBA or equivalent preferred

English fluent (written and spoken)

5-8 years of experience in consulting, advisory or business process reengineering in a multinational company or top-tier consulting firm

Knowledge of business finance processes (planning & forecasting), performance management, business analytics

Desirable criteria :

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in complex environments (e.g., matrix / divisional organizations)

Pharmaceutical industry and digital / data science experience is a plus but not mandatory
