Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We now seek a fully experienced Senior Engineer to be based out of our Madrid office with the ability to inspire others and will be responsible for running major projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for running major projects.
• Take on team management role in the development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities, etc. (majority of building types).
• Carry out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibility studies and preparation of fee bids.
• Review project status advised by personnel and external parties and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
• Develop and specify applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.
• Survey, test, and report on existing electrical / mechanical installations.
• Specify activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
• Represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.
• Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
• Make day-to-day decisions on project progress and liaise directly with clients, providing advice as needed.
• Ensure risk and performance monitoring through effective internal control systems.
• Lead the coordination of engineering services.
• Adopt a holistic approach in selecting and applying engineering concepts and solutions.
• Support project delivery in line with RED’s processes, including project management, financial management, QA / QC, and technical review.
