We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technology Engineer, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) expert to support the development, execution, and optimization of technical services related to energy storage systems. In this role, you will be involved in designing cutting-edge service solutions, conducting advanced technology studies, and delivering high-quality technical services in the field of BESS. As a key technical expert, you will collaborate across service lines, ensure service quality, and provide technical support that drives excellence in energy storage solutions.

Position Overview

As a Technology Engineer, BESS, you will take on a vital role in advancing energy storage technology services. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions, execute complex energy storage projects, and ensure compliance with industry standards, aligned with client expectations. This role requires a forward-thinking professional with deep expertise in energy storage systems, committed to innovation, and collaboration to meet the evolving industry demands. Key Responsibilities

Conduct technology reviews, risk assessments, and product assessments for energy storage systems, including inspections, audits, and technical due diligence.

Deliver on-site BESS projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, effective application of energy storage technologies, and client satisfaction.

Perform field testing of energy storage systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and adherence to regulatory and client-specific requirements.

Audit BESS designs and installations to assess compliance with industry and company standards, providing recommendations for improvements.

Draft technical reports, technology roadmaps, and project progress updates.

Work with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and contractors to address and resolve technical challenges during project implementation.

Conduct advanced studies and benchmarking of energy storage technologies to identify best practices and emerging trends.

Develop and maintain technology roadmaps, reports, and market insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Provide technical support to clients post-service delivery, addressing queries and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

Design and deliver technical training on BESS technology for internal and external stakeholders, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Storage, Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.

Professional certifications in Renewable Energy or Sustainability (e.g. Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Renewable Energy Professional (REP)).

Certification in Project Management is an advantage.

In-depth knowledge and expertise in energy storage technology, including design and manufacturing processes.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the renewables sector, with at least 5 years focused on solar or battery energy storage solutions.

Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong track record of driving client engagement and managing long-term relationships.

Strong expertise in battery cells, energy storage systems, and related equipment, including compliance with industry standards.

Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and service execution processes.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Adaptability to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with a focus on continuous learning and innovation.
