Overview Senior Technical Safety Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Safety Expert to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient design, construction, and operation of industrial plants.

Responsibilities Prepare and review deliverables related to technical safety, including health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management plans, HSE philosophies / specifications, studies / reviews, and hazard analyses.

Participate in workshops as a technical safety engineer to advise on technical safety aspects and concerns at HAZOP, HAZID, 3D model reviews, human factors engineering reviews, and other meetings.

Ensure compliance with international and country-specific legal requirements.

Facilitate workshops on technical safety topics, including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL determination, ALARP, and other relevant subjects.

Perform radiation and dispersion modeling using Flaresim software or similar tools and review simulations, analyses, and results.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

English language proficiency at C1 level.

Experience working with ADNOC / ARAMCO / QATAR normative standards.

Between 8-12 years of experience as a technical safety specialist, preferably in EPC companies or engineering firms.

Significant experience in engineering design of oil and gas facilities.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong background in onshore / offshore facility and brownfield project experience is an advantage.

Mandatory skills include physical effects modeling and quantitative risk assessment, with experience in PHAST, FLARESIM, ALOHA, EFFECTS, EXsilentia software or similar.

Effective communication and influencing skills to work with key stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of hazardous area classification, SCE / PS, EERA, FERA, and other loss prevention analysis and risk assessment techniques.

Knowledgeable in technical safety design standards such as NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, IP, ISO, ASME, API, etc., with additional knowledge in Russian normative an advantage.
