Executive Housekeeper Role

The Housekeeping Team Leader plays a crucial role in the on-board management team, overseeing all Housekeeping functions and team members. Ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are met to brand standards in all Housekeeping areas, including staterooms, corridors, officer cabins, laundry, lockers, and storage areas.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeping Team Leader oversees all Housekeeping functions and team members to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are met across staterooms, corridors, officer cabins, laundry, lockers, and storage areas.
• Leads, motivates, and coaches a team to deliver exceptional guest service, taking ownership and accountability for responding to guest feedback and requests effectively and efficiently.
• Mentors and develops team members and provides training to strengthen performance and prepare for succession planning.
• Oversees the Housekeeping Division schedule in coordination with the shoreside support group, identifying and monitoring scheduling needs.
• Manages Laundry Operations onboard, ensuring the Laundry Master has necessary skills, training, tools, information, and support.
• Monitors operational goals and targets for Housekeeping guest satisfaction ratings, employee satisfaction scores, Public Health inspections, audits, and Housekeeping Operational Reviews.
• Keeps current knowledge of ship events and special functions to provide accurate information to guests and housekeeping teams.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of cleaning practices, procedures, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Facilitates crew and management meetings, training activities, courses, and work-related activities with the Housekeeping Team.
• Oversees the Stateroom Attendant Performance Management Tool, ensuring system maintenance according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identifies career path opportunities for the Management team and crew members and assists in reaching career goals as a coach and mentor.
• Ensures high-quality standards are met through open and honest feedback.
