We are seeking candidates with up to 2 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance, ideally gained in a fast-paced advisory environment. Candidates should have strong financial modelling skills, solid technical foundations, and a clear interest in building their careers within a leading independent M&A platform.
Our client is a highly regarded independent advisory boutique, known for its strong execution track record in mid-market M&A across the Spanish and broader European markets. The firm advises entrepreneurs, corporates, and private equity sponsors on both domestic and cross-border transactions, with a generalist sector focus and an entrepreneurial, partner-led culture.
The Analyst will be based in Madrid and work closely with senior team members across all stages of live deal execution. This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior candidate to develop core technical and execution capabilities, with hands-on involvement in a wide variety of strategic M&A transactions from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation and transaction structuring across M&A processes
Conduct in-depth company, sector, and market research to support deal rationale and strategic recommendations
Assist in the preparation of marketing and transaction materials including teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, and process documentation
Support execution workstreams including buyer / investor outreach, Q&A coordination, due diligence tracking, and project management
Contribute to internal discussions, pitch materials, and client deliverables with a high degree of analytical precision and attention to detail
Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction services
Solid understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions)
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to develop and interpret financial models and client-ready materials
Full professional fluency in Spanish and English; additional European languages are a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, high motivation, and a team-oriented mindset
Interest in building a long-term career in M&A advisory, with a proactive and hands-on approach to learning and execution
