CHINT - Category Manager for Transport and Distribution Equipment

CHINT, the third leading international manufacturer of low voltage electrical equipment and a leader in medium and high voltage, is seeking a Category Manager for Transport and Distribution Equipment based in Madrid .

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders from HQ, regional HQs, and subsidiaries for product inquiry, negotiation, and pre-bid budgeting, including stage execution.
• Develop expertise in the industry status of Medium-High Voltage primary equipment and operation & maintenance (O&M), understanding upstream and downstream supply chains.
• Conduct market research to understand supply market dynamics, perform risk assessments, and implement appropriate countermeasures.
• Manage supplier development, focusing on cost, delivery, performance, and full lifecycle management for Medium-High Voltages.
• Address and resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, cost, and service.
• Oversee the entire inquiry and quotation process for primary / secondary Medium-High Voltage Transport & Distribution equipment, including installation, commissioning, and transformer oil procurement in the EEA region. Approve documents, contracts, and manage payments and benchmarking.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Manage and control procurement budgets.
• Achieve departmental KPIs and complete assigned tasks.
