Overview

An opportunity for a tooling manager within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). We are seeking an Aircraft Jigs and Tools Quality Manager to ensure the highest quality standards in the manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft jigs and tools, supporting safety and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Tooling Verification Process (TVP) of all Jig & Tools (J&T) belonging to Getafe Plant to ensure J&T periodical maintenance revision is properly performed. Define the means, inspection type and inspection sequence described in TVP.
• Confirm periodical maintenance revision is performed before expiry date and record in the IT tool that the TVP has been fulfilled.
• Certify that periodical maintenance revision is performed according to TVP and decide on disposal if deviations are reported, maintaining performance levels.
• Raise discrepancy reports for any deviations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure acceptance of new or modified J&T for Getafe Plant according to Airbus Standards; guarantee traceability of documents and record tooling registers in the IT tool.
• Contribute to audit process fulfillment by supporting all J&T issues, including internal, external and Airworthiness Authorities audits.
• Provide technical support for all J&T issues at Getafe Plant.
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to J&T from AOS deployment.
• Control Jig & Tools storehouse inventory and tooling.
