What you will do
- Work in the 5G Packet Core User Plane area, mainly in UPF / PGW-U (PCG / EPG)
- Provide the technical network / black box system perspective for your area
- Develop and maintain system requirements, ensuring accuracy and ownership of selected artifacts : Markdown documentation, update requirements in T-reqs portal
- Conduct system studies to ensure compliance with industry standards : Review RFCs (Request for Comments), 3GPP Technical specifications, prepare presentation materials
- Support development teams with a feature-system perspective during the development lifecycle. Clarify and review requirements in Gerrit
- Review and approve Customer Product Information (CPI) at both area and feature levels
- Assist customers via market support in sales and maintenance processes
- Embrace challenges such as working with requirements, supporting development teams, defining sustainable and resilient products, and aligning with our Core Network Engineering (CNE) strategy
You will bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experiencePrevious Ericsson Packet Core experience as a senior developer or design architectExtensive and comprehensive software development experienceSolid knowledge of IP and Networking protocols as well as 5GC networks and Cloud Native architecture in areas such as :5GC architectureQUICHTTPTCP and UDPPFCP3GPP standardsTraffic Management competence : traffic analysis, classification, enforcement, reporting, and analyticsValue-Added Functions : traffic optimizations, NAT (Network Address Translation), and security enhancementsValuable / learnable skills : experience working with telecom requirements, coding and architecture knowledge that can be further developed in the roleA proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset with enthusiasm for continuous personal and professional developmentExcellent communication skills in written and spoken English (non-native speakers encouraged to apply)Why join Ericsson
