We are looking for a Systems Administrator (HVD Infrastructure) to join our team for a multinational leader in the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage physical and compact server infrastructure located in multiple datacenters, coordinating actions with remote hands teams.
Diagnose and resolve hardware incidents on Dell servers, performing checks, validations, and component analysis.
Handle vendor support cases (Dell), including troubleshooting, RMA coordination, and hardware replacement follow-up.
Maintain accurate and organized inventories of hardware, components, specifications, and incidents.
Analyse control-unit messages, monitor resource usage, and respond to system alerts and incidents.
Execute BIOS, firmware, and hardware-version checks using command-line tools.
Support Windows OS incidents on trader workstation servers (high-sensitivity users).
Create, update, and maintain structured technical documentation and runbooks.
Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan tests.
Support complex datacenter infrastructure migrations or hardware replacements.
Ensure adherence to ITSM / ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and maintain accurate reporting in corporate tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Networks, Storage, Wintel, Datacenter Facilities, Service Desk).
Provide services within agreed SLAs for a large user base.
Occasionally travel to Paris or London for on-site support when required.
Skills : Essential :
Experience handling physical servers, datacenter hardware, and remote-hands coordination.
Strong hardware troubleshooting skills : diagnostics, component testing, BIOS & firmware checks.
Ability to manage and organize inventories (hardware, incidents, components).
Hands-on experience with Windows OS troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and SCCM.
Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation.
Familiarity with ticketing tools and vendor support portals (e.g., Dell).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Willingness to travel internationally (Paris / London).
Desirable :
Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops or similar virtualization environments.
Understanding of ITSM / ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
Experience in datacenter operations or hardware lifecycle management.
Knowledge of monitoring / logging tools for infrastructure environments.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
