Senior Full Stack (GenAI) Data Scientist (m / f / d)

As a Senior Full Stack Data Scientist focused on Large Language Model Development, you will play a key role in driving AI‑driven transformation, exploring new AI / ML approaches, and working closely with Allianz’s business entities. You will be responsible for the full data science lifecycle and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and monitor LLM‑powered applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and maintain large language models using cutting‑edge technologies and methodologies.
- Propose system and model designs for LLM‑powered applications based on stakeholder input and feedback.
- Maintain, curate, and develop datasets for LLM evaluation and fine‑tuning, defining annotation methodologies by domain experts.
- Track recent innovations and models, proposing ways to integrate them into current and future applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Lead the data science lifecycle from problem definition to data exploration, preparation, modeling, validation, and deployment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.Fluent English (written and spoken) mandatory; additional languages welcome.Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably with a focus on large language model development.Experience with machine learning libraries and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.Experience with the HuggingFace stack.Experience with the Sentence Transformer framework is a plus.Experience in data manipulation languages (e.g., SQL).Experience in classical Machine Learning applications.Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency with statistical packages for data analysis.Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical team members.Proven ability to work collaboratively and to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives.Interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) are highly valued.Benefits
