Overview

2D Visual Effects Lead Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled 2D Visual Effects Lead Artist to join our team. As a key member of the animation department, you will be responsible for leading the VFX pipeline and ensuring the delivery of high-quality visuals that align with the artistic and gameplay vision.

The successful candidate will work closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of VFX assets and foster a collaborative, creative environment. They will create visual effects from initial concept artwork to final implementation, design stylized 2D elements for projectiles, spells, environmental effects, and more, and efficiently optimize and manage VFX resources.

Responsibilities

Create visual effects (VFX) from initial concept artwork to final implementation.

Design stylized 2D elements for projectiles, spells, environmental effects, and more.

Efficiently optimize and manage VFX resources.

Collaborate on additional VFX-related tasks, including UI and 2D animation.

Assist throughout the entire game development process.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a VFX Artist in the gaming industry, with a focus on stylized 2D character animations.

Solid understanding of 2D skeletal animation techniques.

Basic knowledge of technical art concepts and optimization processes for mobile platforms.

Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
