MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The AI ML Product Manager will support our AIML Engineering organization as a senior contributor and mentor as we develop new AI products and deploy these products into production systems. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between innovation and practical application, ensuring seamless integration and timely execution of AI projects. This role plays a particularly important role in driving AIML research and development activity.

The AI / ML Product Manager ensures alignment with business goals, conducts market research, and gathers customer insights to drive innovative solutions. They oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and iteration, ensuring high-quality deliverables. With a strong technical background and a keen understanding of AI / ML technologies, the AI / ML Product Manager bridges the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver impactful products that meet market demands and drive business growth.

MAIN DUTIES

• Efficiently coordinate efforts via real-time and asynchronous activity between the two globally distributed engineering teams - AIML R&D and AIML Data & Platform Engineering - to ensure alignment and drive successful product development.
• Effectively drive the roadmap for AIML R&D working with senior scientists and ML engineering managers to prioritize research, experimentation, and AI tool releases, managing a highly iterative and necessarily unpredictable flow.
• Actively support teams in defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and managing the product backlog, including responsibility for documenting and coordinating sprint priorities across teams. R&D work necessarily affects Platform roadmap and agile planning.
• Oversee the product development lifecycle, from AI product ideation, through research and library development, through worker creation and production deployments, and culminating in documentation and observability tooling.
• Manage data collection activities in coordination with cross functional teams to supply AI R&D teams with necessary data to drive training, testing and benchmarking efforts.
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, including local PM teams, globally based Business Development teams, and other cross-functional units, to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Create and maintain detailed product documentation, including user stories, use cases, and functional specifications, providing up-to-date guidelines for production configuration of all AIML toolings.
• Identify resources that aid in measuring product impact and create models that estimate impact over time.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that feedback is accurately captured and addressed.
• Drive development of application and infrastructure monitoring dashboards and support both AIML team and end users in developing BI visualizations that support product monitoring. Analyze data and capture user feedback to inform monitoring automation requirement while targeting impactful improvements and feature enhancements.
• Provide training and support to internal teams and end-users on new AI tools and functionalities.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to junior Product staff.
• Success in this role looks like effectively managing the AI product lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of AI tools, fostering strong collaboration between teams, and continuously driving product improvements based on user feedback and market trends.
