The HSE Governance Lead will lead and coordinate a broad spectrum of work activity concurrently. Through implementation of standardized processes and expectations for governance, audit, risk analysis and compliance tools, they will be responsible for ensuring robust oversight leading efforts to maintain compliance, reduce risk and deliver HSE excellence. This is a key enabling role requiring visionary thinking, strong project management skills, and ability to use data to drive decision to drive sustainable improvement while supporting other HSE activities as assigned to help build one successful HSE organization.
Your responsibilities will include :
Development and implement HSE governance framework and ensure consistent implementation, learning, and cross-functional coordination.
Ensure regulatory alignment across local, national, and international standards; monitor changes and assess system impact.
Lead closed-loop audit process, from preparation through action closure and validation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor effectiveness.
Maintain integrated risk registers aligned with enterprise risk management.
Lead data trend analysis using strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify systemic issues and support targeted action plans.
Drive strategic compliance and continuous improvement , enhancing operational effectiveness, efficiency, standardization, and risk reduction.
Ability to coach and mentor HSE community to deliver program excellence.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities.
Remain current and / or develop competencies specific to work-scope.
What you need to bring to the role :
Occupational Health & Safety Degree or technical equivalent from an accredited university / college.
Certified H&S or Environmental professional.
Competency in Integrated Work Systems and / or Lean competency.
Demonstrated ISO experience, preferably in 14,001, 18001 or 45001.
Experience and demonstrated achievements with HSE programs, digitized systems and industry standards.
Fluent English and solid communications skills (verbal and written). Additional language skills will be valued.
Ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
Confidently able to facilitate and deliver a variety of HSE topics and / or presentations to a diverse audience.
Have demonstrated Lean understanding.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
