M&A Underwriter

Senior Underwriter M&A Tax – based in either Madrid / Spain or Milan / Italy Senior Underwriter M&A Tax :

Independent underwriting review of tax insurance submissions.

Development of deep client and broker relationships to drive regional growth in the product.

Positioning and marketing of AIG tax products in the European market through presentations, articles and events.

Work closely with the global tax insurance team to ensure consistency of appetite and underwriting.

Ad hoc support for W&I underwriters on tax aspects of W&I coverage as required.

Excellent university degree in law or economics with a focus on tax law.

Several years of professional experience in an international commercial law firm or Big 4 accounting firm.

Qualification as tax consultant or specialized in tax law.

Technical expertise on tax issues and M&A transactions.

Independent legal and commercial negotiation of policies in conjunction with legal advisors and internal stakeholders.

Very good MS-Office knowledge.

Willingness to travel and to market AIG tax insurance product.

Excellent communication skills in English and either Spanish or Italian.
