The Opportunity

Reporting to the Property Portfolio Manager; your role is to underwrite business in accordance with the business plan and within delegated underwriting authority.

Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to :

• Contributing to the delivery of the annual business plan by making appropriate decisions.
• Applying the reinsurance strategy to safeguard the Property portfolio.
• Participating in relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices.
• Promoting the department, division, and company to maximize brand leverage.
• Performing underwriting activities in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Adhering to underwriting standards and good practices to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
• Recording and measuring insurance risks accurately.
• Understanding and complying with reinsurance requirements.
• Establishing and developing relationships with stakeholders, including customers, brokers, and partners.
• Demonstrating market awareness to enhance business performance.
• Maintaining expertise through continuous learning and development.
• Underwriting risks, negotiating rates, ensuring contract certainty, and supporting credit control.
• Reviewing portfolio performance and ensuring accurate data entry.
• Contributing to portfolio management and peer review processes.
• Motivating and coaching team members for ongoing development.
