Director Origination Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Director Origination. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the origination, negotiation, and execution of principal loans in the Spanish Development Finance market.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience originating, negotiating, and executing loans, with a proven track record in Madrid and / or Barcelona. They will also possess a strong network with gravitas to lead transactions from inception to completion.

This is a key hire that will report into the EMEA Director and work closely with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Development Finance market and be able to navigate complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities Origination and Execution : Originating and executing new loans to deliver against lending targets

High-Level Service and Delivery : Providing high-level service and delivery to borrowers

Credit Proposal Presentation : Leading the presentation of high-quality credit proposals to the Credit Committee

Portfolio Management : Maintaining oversight throughout the life of loans with active portfolio management

Network Expansion : Expanding the organization's network and brand, working closely with Marketing and Events

Business Strategy and Development : Contributing to business strategy and new product development

Required Skills and Qualifications Demonstrable Track Record : Demonstrable track record in originating in the Development Finance market

Professional and Client Networks : Substantial Debt Adviser and Broker, Professional and Client networks

Expert Understanding : Expert understanding of underwriting risk

Leadership and Coaching : Ability to coach, develop, and manage team members

Awareness and Knowledge : Awareness of business strategy and lending guidelines

Treasury and Transaction Modelling : Understanding of treasury and ability to model transactions

Site Visits and Construction Knowledge : Comfortable visiting active building sites and knowledgeable on basic construction methods and budgets
