Overview
A cybersecurity coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and coordination of independent teams across multiple security platforms within an organization.
This role requires understanding of various security technologies, processes, and protocols, along with exceptional communication and organizational skills. At least 3 years' experience in coordinating IT teams and projects, preferably in a security environment, and knowledge of various security platforms, including but not limited to security rating platforms, vulnerability management, firewall, endpoint protection, messaging etc. are necessaries.
Responsibilities
- Team Coordination : Facilitate communication and collaboration between independent teams working on different security platforms. Ensure alignment of goals, priorities, and timelines across teams to achieve overall security objectives. Act as a central point of contact for resolving conflicts, addressing concerns, and coordinating efforts between teams.
- Platform Management : Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of security platforms. Monitor the performance and health of security systems, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to obtain the desired results of the operation of the security technologies.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation : Conduct regular assessments of security risks and vulnerabilities using different platforms. Work closely with teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks. Stay abreast of emerging threats and security trends, adjusting strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Policy Compliance : Collaborate in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations and across all security platforms. Help defining and maintaining security policies, procedures, and best practices to preserve a secure environment.
