We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a high-impact Azure migration programme for a major international energy trading organisation. You’ll be joining a skilled cross-functional team responsible for ensuring the stability and scalability of hybrid cloud environments during a major multi-year transformation.

Hybrid role – 50% onsite in Madrid (Spain)
English-speaking environment
40h / week with on-call duties after ~2 months (1 week every 5-6 weeks)
Contract from September 2025 until December 2026
Day to Day responsibilities :
Operate and support hybrid environments spanning on-prem and Azure
Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform or Jamml
Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles, Azure AD, and RBAC
Support backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting workflows
Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and 3rd-party suppliers
Participate in an on-call rota after onboarding (~every 5-6 weeks)
Strong experience with Azure Infrastructure (VMs, Networking, Storage, VPNs, ExpressRoute)
Proven background in hybrid cloud operations and DevOps practices
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), scripting, and automation
Familiar with Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and identity management
Knowledge of Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and cloud storage performance tuning
Excellent communicator – able to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working independently in complex, enterprise-scale environments
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
