Project Engineer page is loaded## Project Engineerlocations : Pozuelo de Alarcón, Spaintime type : Full timeposted on : Posted Todayjob requisition id : R-16298Project Engineering prepares and reviews engineering data, performs engineering studies and related calculations, coordinates cross functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external), and establishes schedules for fulfillment of standard and custom pump orders.This position will support the order fulfillment process for the Flowserve facility in Pozuelo, Spain. Project Engineering team is chartered with providing the most accurate and thorough engineering data for customer orders (e.g., Bills of Materials, manufacturing process data and capabilities, and general alignment to Flowserve standards and customer requested specifications). This data is vital to ensure customer orders are processed to meet or exceed quality standards and established lead-times, and processed in the most efficient manner with a high level of quality.
- Your role :
- This Project Engineering role is expected to be responsible of fulfilling the engineering requirements when an order is received and customize the standard design to fulfill customer needs, including :
- Review of technical specification and other technical documentation in the purchase order and quotation, to define the modifications needed to the product to fulfill order requirements.
- Support the creation of customer required drawings (General Arrangement drawings, Cross Sectional drawing, Nameplates,etc) and its approval for Customer submission.
- Contact of suppliers of Buy-Outs (motors, couplings, mechanical seals, seal systems, etc) to complete quotation information when is not clear enough.
- Review of Pump Layout, when required.
- Review and approval of detail Manufacturing Drawings created by other Flowserve team Members.
- Creation of detail Manufacturing Drawings (only if required).
- Creation of Bill of Material of pump and accesories
- Support to Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing during the execution of the order.
- Your profile :
- Qualified candidate must have :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrate a self-starter attitude with the ability for seeing efforts to completion.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills including proficiency with MS Office products (It is valued an advanced level of Excel knowledge : dynamic table, logical functions, Macro VBA programing).
- Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, meeting of due dates, advance organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\
- Preferences
- 3 years prior experience with rotating equipment, especially in the pump industry and related sectors.
- Ability to detail production drawings and manufacturing instructions as required for customer components and "engineered-to-order" products, as assigned.
- Knowledge in SAP preferred
- Basic understanding of machining and quality principles such as Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge in Solid Works
