IPS is an international company with inhouse Engineering and specialized services across Project Management for industries, Automation and Architecture. EPCM expertise, more than 10 countries around the globe but an entrepreneurial and teambuilding mindset.

Now, we are looking for a Project Engineer in our office in Madrid, Spain.

We are looking for an engineer with experience in project management either in a client or consulting company, to participate in a wide range of project work actively, ranging from small improvements to large industrial constructions, from the planning phase to final delivery.

The role of the Project Engineer is to deliver to the client the more than satisfactory quality of the services within the budget and planning defined.

Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Communication : Act as the primary point of contact with the client, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout all project phases. Present progress reports to clients and senior management, including recommendations for improvement strategies.
  • Project Planning & Execution : Develop detailed project schedules, define key milestones, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary technical teams, contractors, and suppliers to guarantee efficient and cohesive project execution.
  • Lead or actively participate in project teams, adapting to the needs of each initiative.
  • Budget & Cost Management : Manage project budgets ranging between €2M and €30M. Optimize costs while maintaining quality and meeting project objectives.
  • Engineering Scope & Technical Oversight : Manage projects involving new production lines, major packaging and bottling changes, and feasibility studies.
  • Interface with Architecture, Engineering, Logistics, Sustainability, Digitalization, and Consulting teams to align technical and strategic goals.
  • Possess working knowledge of civil works, building utilities, and process utilities.
  • Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant industry legislation. Identify, assess, and mitigate project-related risks proactively. Experience in permitting and procurement processes is considered an asset and contributes to smoother project development cycles.

Requirements

  • Experience : 3 to 5 years of relevant experience on industrial projects. Experience in Food / Beverages / Engineering companies / Life Sciences. ECP / EPCm experience is required.
  • Languages : Fluency in Spanish and English is a must, and French or German is an asset.
  • Specific Knowledge : Knowledge in PC-literate MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint applications, MS Project, AutoCAD. Driver License B.
  • Key Skills : Analytical and problem-solving skills; Organization and time management; Multidisciplinary team management; Effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Location : Madrid with availability to travel up to 60-80% time, depending on project needs.
