Job Purpose :
The EIC Accelerator Business Development Manager will drive the strategy and execution of funding acquisition activities for innovative, high-potential startups and SMEs. This role involves supporting clients through the process of securing funding from the EIC Accelerator providing expert guidance on business plans, technical assessments, and innovation strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business development, EU grant funding, and innovation management.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Client Engagement :
- Proactively identify and engage with high-potential SMEs and startups that could benefit from the EIC Accelerator.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping them navigate the application process.
- Conduct market research and identify new funding opportunities for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and innovation strategies.
Application Strategy & Support :
Advise clients on the EIC Accelerator application process, eligibility, and documentation requirements.Collaborate with technical experts to assess the viability of clients’ projects and support the creation of business plans, innovation strategies, and financial projections.Provide strategic guidance on preparing and submitting high-quality proposals, ensuring alignment with the criteria of the EIC Accelerator program.Business partners :
Develop and manage partnerships with business partners including innovation ecosystems, government bodies, and research organizations.Help clients form strategic partnerships to enhance the quality and impact of their projects, particularly for scaling and commercialization.Monitoring & Reporting :
Track the progress of offers and contracts with clients in close collaboration with legal department and Managing Director.Market & Program Awareness :
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in EU innovation funding and the EIC Accelerator program.Attend relevant industry conferences, webinars, and events to represent the company and stay informed about funding opportunities.Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a related field.Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, innovation funding, or project management.Proven experience with European funding programs (especially the EIC Accelerator) is highly preferred.Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and innovation funding landscape.Skills :
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze business models, financials, and technical aspects of innovative projects.Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.Experience in proposal writing and preparing complex documentation for grant applications.Personal Attributes :

Travel : Travel shall be required for client meetings, events, and conferences. Minimum 50% of the time
