Director Clinical Operations

Overview

Upsilon Global have partnered with a growing European CRO who are seeking a Director of Clinical Operations – EU to lead their cardiovascular clinical development programs. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to define and implement operational strategy for a portfolio of innovative cardiovascular therapies. The position is offered as fully remote across the EU, with occasional travel for leadership meetings, investigator site visits, and vendor oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic direction and leadership for Clinical Operations activities across cardiovascular programs.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of global cardiovascular clinical trials (Phase I–IV) in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing Clinical Operations team across Europe.
• Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing vendor performance management.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (Medical, Regulatory, Data Management, QA) to ensure operational feasibility and successful trial execution.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance trial efficiency and quality.
• Represent Clinical Operations at global governance meetings, contributing to pipeline and portfolio strategy decisions.
