Descripción del trabajoAI Engineer (Python) – Health Tech Startup in Madrid / Amsterdam Women's health has been understudied, underdiagnosed, and underserved for decades. Gutsie exists to change that, starting with gut health. We are a femtech biotech company building the data infrastructure and AI platform for female biology. Our starting point is the gut microbiome: the invisible ecosystem that controls digestion, hormones, mood, skin, immunity and metabolic health. But our ambition goes further, into the vaginal microbiome, hormonal health, and the interconnected biological systems that determine how women feel every day. The science in this space is still being written. Female-specific microbiome research is decades behind. The datasets don't exist yet. That's not a problem, it's an opportunity. And we're building the platform to capture it. Our vision is to create the world's largest female health dataset, and use it to power a new generation of diagnostics and personalized health solutions designed specifically for women. Gutsie was founded by Ellen Pekelharing and Michelle Martens, a health and nutrition expert paired with a data scientist and AI product specialist. Together they identified how fragmented, inaccessible and male-skewed health data really is for women, and built Gutsie to close that gap. Now, as the company closes its seed round, they're assembling the founding engineering team that will help turn that vision into infrastructure, product and impact at scale. About Gutsie The Role You will join Gutsie as the AI Engineer in a company that revolves entirely around artificial intelligence. This is an opportunity to help shape a platform where AI is not an add-on but the core of the product. You will design and run the intelligence that turns microbiome and nutrition data into personalized health insights for women. The work covers practical machine learning, backend development, and product design. You will collaborate closely with two experienced engineers who act as consultants and ensure a strong technical foundation. It is a rare chance to build real-world AI that directly improves health outcomes, designed specifically for women.
