The Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team is hiring an Energy Operations Manager. EPO manages energy supply contracts, oversees financial and operational performance, and ensures compliance with regulations and policies. You will manage the portfolio of the world's largest corporate renewable energy buyer.
We seek individuals with a proven track record in managing programs, planning, launching, and executing initiatives that drive excellence. This role involves managing contracts in a specific region, reporting, analyzing, and improving energy portfolio performance. Candidates should be capable of managing multiple projects, possess analytical skills, and have contract management experience.
Key responsibilities include :
Managing energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
Serving as a subject matter expert on energy agreements in designated markets and managing contractual obligations.
Reporting and analyzing portfolio performance to identify impacts on business and customers.
Supporting onboarding of new contracts and tracking progress.
Shaping and implementing EPO programs to meet organizational goals.
Driving initiatives to improve energy operations and scale management processes.
Collaborating with AWS and Amazon teams to support energy programs.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (BA / BS)
7 years in utility / energy industry in EMEA, in asset / contract management, settlements, or market operations
5-10 years managing cross-functional projects and teams
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree (MBA / MS)
Experience in supplier or contract management, managing relationships with vendors or customers
Experience handling large datasets, audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms
Experience using technology to improve manual processes
Project planning, scheduling, and tracking skills
Experience developing automated tools
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
