Product Manager Lead

Overview

The Product Management team at TransPerfect proactively manages the development process of our applications from gathering requirements to production release. The Product Manager Lead may lead a team of two or more individuals and uses product management expertise and technical skills to mentor team members, drive automation initiatives, and provide issue resolution while serving as regional escalation point for product-related matters.

Position responsibilities

• Serve as a manager or mentor to one or more Product Managers within the Technology Solutions team to expand technical knowledge across the company
• Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and standards for the Tech Solutions Product Management team
• Ensure all products within the team’s portfolio progress on schedule; act as point of escalation for blockers, risks, and off-track timelines
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, development, design, and other key stakeholders to drive alignment and execution
• Set clear goals and performance expectations for direct reports, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
• Report regularly to senior leadership on roadmap progress, product impact, and strategic initiatives led by the team
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Product Management team
• Manage and oversee internally developed products that improve automation and efficiency within production teams
• Support the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to release, including active involvement in Testing / QA cycles
• Review documentation updates for the team’s products
• Collaborate with Technical and Implementation Project Managers to roll out products as required
• Monitor development progress, set deadlines, and use project management tools to track workload and roadmaps
• Act as a technical expert when new setups need testing, report bugs, review development tickets, and follow up until implementation is complete
• Regularly evaluate product performance and conduct risk assessments
• Use metrics for success and effectiveness to drive future improvements in collaboration with Tech PMs / Tech Program Managers as needed
• Identify integration opportunities and potential partnerships to extend existing product capabilities
• Provide second-line support for technical issues and create detailed product specifications for new developments or improvements
• Create testing plans and lead User Acceptance Testing during final development stages
• Pivot project plans as needed to meet business and user needs
• Collect and evaluate Production feedback during development and post-release, informing the development team
• Provide constructive feedback to stakeholders across the software and process development cycle
• Create clear user instructions and keep them updated with new features and processes
• Collaborate on Technology Solutions process optimization initiatives and complete other tasks as assigned
