The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex LAN and wireless infrastructures in a hybrid enterprise environment. This role includes leading network projects, providing Level 3 support, and collaborating within a global engineering team to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of network infrastructure projects, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Support and evolve enterprise LAN and wireless networks across multiple sites.
Act as a technical escalation point for advanced network issues.
Design and implement SD-WAN solutions across varied underlay networks.
Manage AAA services (TACACS+, RADIUS), with experience in Cisco ISE and ideally Aruba ClearPass.
Maintain network documentation (HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, procedures).
Leverage scripting (Shell, Python, PERL) to automate tasks and integrate with APIs.
Monitor network health using tools such as Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, CA Spectrum, and NetFlow.
Analyze packet flows and troubleshoot TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec, and other core protocols.
Technical Expertise
Advanced hands-on experience with LAN / WAN routing and switching (Cisco preferred).
familiarity with Aruba is a plus.
Network protocols : STP, QoS, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, NTP, 802.1X.
Wireless technologies and network management systems (Cisco Catalyst Centre, Aruba Central).
Experience with public and private cloud networking environments (preferred).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in a relevant technical field.
5+ years of networking experience, including 2+ years in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Professional certifications (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
