Procurement Manager - Category Metals and Catalyst Carriers

Responsibilities

• Source raw materials and scout new suppliers and technologies in the area of responsibility, negotiate and conclude deals in accordance with the delegated scope
• Design, maintain and implement sourcing strategies for designated product groups and geographies, develop relationships with suppliers as per strategic requirements
• Design and lead optimization projects to generate value for the organization, identify & execute improvement potentials, challenge status quo, de-specification and re-risking, etc. to realize Clariant objectives
• Monitor and analyze the market developments and supply availability; forecast prices of strategic spend segments
• Align with the supplier base and execute projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and drive sustainability initiatives in connection with Clariant strategy and policies
• Build and cultivate cross functional strategic stakeholder relationships to create value for the organization, build and deepen business acumen
• Support the direct procurement category globally
